Found a really great website, watched a couple of really helpful tutorials, and am now confident enough at having a go at painting Chloe. Some of the reborns I've seen are absolutely amazing, they are so lifelike!!!!

I'm still not sure about the purple wash you have to put inside the dolls, to me it looks tooo purple. (Apparently they put a purple wash inside the reborns to give them a more lifelike look, or so that is my understanding).

Anyway, I'm going ahead with the painting process, and I'll take it from there. Afterall, how am I going to learn if I don't have a go?

I will post pics after each process is finished, I can't wait to see how she turns out!!! I still haven't decided what outfit to make for her yet, I will have to wait and see.

I realllllly, realllllly, want to make Chloe NOW!!!!!! I can't wait for another 2 weeks, it's too long!!!!!

I'm thinking about just going ahead and painting her anyway, the only thing is, I don't know what order the tones go in, and I don't want to wreck her by painting her wrong.

I might see if I can find some more tutorials on painting the reborns, otherwise I will have to go it alone. I just hope I don't screw it up.

I could always find another project to work on for the next couple of weeks, but I want to work on Chloe!!!!

I've been trying to find my blog by typing in the URL address, but it's keeps coming up with no details found. Very irritating, as I was going to show some of my friends my blog, but they can't access it.

Chloe's making will have to be delayed for a couple of weeks due to insuffient funds, (money has finally run dry). Spewing big time!!!!!. I can't even do the other idea I had with the vinyl doll from the toy shop.

BOO HOO!!!!!

This is Chloe before she has been painted and put together, I will add pics as I go along, ending with a pic when she is finished and has been dressed and everything. I think she will be quite cute when she's finished. I can't wait to get started! Hurry up next week already!!!!

Yeah!!! I finally worked it out!!! Took me all day, but what the heck.

This is obviously not a picture of my reborn Chloe, but now that I know how to upload the pictures, I will be able to post some of Chloe, before and after she's finished.

This was the first cloth doll I made from a free pattern on the internet from the cloth doll connection website, she is made entirely by hand as well as her clothes and shoes. (I didn't have the sewing machine at this stage). She is holding the first teddy bear I ever made, his name is Mr Hutton.

As much as I enjoyed making these two, (they are the only ones that my daughters didn't claim), i will be concentrating my time and efforts  with the reborns.

Every now and then as a break from the reborns, I may do something else. If that's the case, I will post pictures of each.

Going to have a go at painting another vinyl doll as a reborn before I paint Chloe. I probably should wait ubtil I recieve the DVD to show me how, but I figure it can't be that hard can it? I'm going to go down to the toy shop tomorrow and buy a vinyl doll ($16.99), and see how she turns out after being painted with the genesis paints.

Going to post pictures of Chloe as each stage of painting is completed. She should be finished within the next couple of weeks. Will get photos up soon, (as soon as I find the cable for the camera).

Been browsing the net looking at tutorials for painting the reborns. I know I should wait until I get the proper stuff to paint Chloe, but I get so impatient when I;m doing something that I really like, and since this is a new craft I am trying, I'm even more impatient!!!!.

I can't wait to see what she looks like when she's finished. They say that no 2 dolls are the same, my aim is to make sure that each of my dolls are completely different to the next.

 I received my first reborn doll kit in the mail today, (her name is Chloe). I am very excited about this new craft I have discovered. I can't wait until next week when I get the brushes and DVD to show me how to paint her.

After making cloth dolls for the last 12 months, (then fighting with my 3 daughters to keep them, the girls always end up with the dolls), I;m happy to find something that I can make for myself.

As I finish each reborn I will post pictures on blog.

My hope is to get good enough at the reborning so that I can start selling the dolls.
